Where the forecast comes from
This page uses Open-Meteo, a free, open weather API listed in the Public APIs directory. It combines forecasts from national weather services, including Environment and Climate Change Canada, NOAA in the US and DWD in Germany, and picks the best model for each location.
Reading the forecast
- Feels like combines temperature with wind chill in cold weather and humidity in hot weather.
- Precipitation chance is the probability of at least 0.1 mm of rain or snow during the hour.
- UV index of 3 or more means sun protection is a good idea; 8+ is very high.
